Into the Maw of the Matriarchy

The Masai tribe in Africa call hyena’s the “doctors” because they have the ability to diagnose the weak and sick in their prey populations. (Side note: the hyena social organization is a hereditary matriarchy)

Over on my blog I was examining a verse in Isaiah considering the work that the Lord is doing in the world and how to discern what it is we are to identify with. Sometimes the most holy, appropriate, sane way of dealing with the doctrine of demons – the ideology of the insane is to realize that it is meant to perform a Godly function.

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
(Isa 54:16-17)

Of course, here on Empath’s blog I’m specifically speaking of feminism, of which I am fully convinced is a “waster to destroy” sent by God to perfect the body of Christ; this can be counter-intuitive:

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2Th 2:7-12)

We can see this in the Church today as observed in the “Social Justice Jesus” movement such as with Shirley Taylor’s “Dethroning Male Headship” and the underlying ideas in her particular heresy. Judgement is in fact coming first to the house of the Lord in the form of this other Gospel, this other Jesus.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
(1Pe 4:17-18)

I realized today as I was reading Dalrock’s latest post “The Sin of Lacking Moxie” just how much traditional complementarians are getting it from both sides. The feminists despise the principle of headship as much as many Christian men in the manosphere despise the man-up messaging (as seen in “Fragging Christian Headship”).  At issue in this case is the Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood which Dalrock convincingly argues is embracing feminism. This aversion doesn’t stop feminists from also hating it as we can observe in Shirley Taylor’s call for redress from the Dr. Al Mohler in “No apology yet for the denigration of women”.   Man-up complementarians such as Driscoll and Rainey are sick with the heresy of feminism, and the hyena’s are circling. Cut-off from the truth of Biblical submission while embracing the lies of feminism all of their natural resistance is gone, they are coals being blown by the smith. Watch them disappear into the maws of the hyena matriarchy and remember that as you watch the truth of God’s word unfold:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
(Gal 6:7-8)

Also, remember not to see this as an attack on the Body of Christ, it’s an attack on a cancerous tumor and God approves. You’ll sleep better at night. Psalm 2:12b reminds us: “Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”

  1. I really like this post. I love the imagery of the hyena diagnosing the weak for prey, and then bringing that back as the imagery left with the reader regarding the ministries that are offering succor to the enemy(ies).

    Potent and blunt.

  2. As Empath already noted, this is powerful and beautiful imagery.

The only thing I would add is repentance is always an option. I don’t want the Christian leaders who sold out to feminism to go away, I want them to repent and truly stop doing the harm they are doing. A truly repentant Mohler, Stanton, Driscoll and Rainey would be just fine in my book. At first consideration the magnitude of the repentance required is likely overwhelming, making repentance seem unthinkable. But once you consider what lies on the other side of repentance it is unthinkable to not repent.

  3. I too voice my support for the hyena analogy. As support for it, consider that those churches in the US which have most thoroughly embraced feminist teachings and doctrines and practices are also the same churches which have lost the most members in recent years.

  4. Donal.
That is true if you are talking about Episcopalians and similar, even those full on “divine fem” churches. But are they really the ones who have embraced feminism? Would we not call the evangelical feminism , feminism? Those are the thriving mega churches. The Rainy’s and Driscolls etc., they are basking in feminism.

I don’t mean to make argument, I suspect you agree. The feminist churches you speak of are actually excellent cover. Imagine a savannah, there is very little cover behind which to hide from the hyenas. The main line Episcopalians and similar are the cover behind which the evangelical feminists are hiding.

  5. The hyena’s will always be there Empath, they’ve been there since God allowed Peter to be sifted. God want’s them to repent as Dalrock suggests. I’m getting pretty cynical in dealing with what I feel are hirelings and their attitude towards the body of Christ. They have been “making merchandise of men” for over a generation. How many have we seen truly repent?

The point I was trying to make Dalrock is that God is calling us all to the fire, anything not of Him is going to be consumed and we need to not identify with what He is destroying. The biggest element to repentance in my view is to not identify with the world, and not to be distraught when judgement comes. Yet I know I need to have His heart and not be hardened through cynicism, tough balance.

Kelly Varner had an interesting teaching comparing what we would call “Churchianity” to the kingship of Saul, wrapped in carnal understanding and traditionalism and the body of Christ to David; I see a lot of parallels:

“And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.”
    (1Sa 16:1)

  6. Also, thank you guys for the encouragement. It means a lot to me.

I think these guys (the prey) are in a category that makes repentance very difficult for them because their first allegiance is not in dying daily but in the prestige and praise of men, money and power. Meanwhile they have the pretense of Godliness, it is a powerful trap the hyena’s are going to strip all of that away because God is a good and merciful God. But for the grace of God, there go I.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
    (2Ti 3:1-9)

  8. We were warned by Solomon and Paul not to sacrifice our lives for sexual pleasure and to flee youthful lusts.

Our men have, collectively, sacrificed themselves to the coven in exchange for what they hope will be a little access to their feminine charms. Our men have suffered accordingly, as they groan at their final end as their flesh and body are consumed.

Paul instructed us to remain single even as he was, unless our passions burned so strong we had no choice but to marry. The modern church teaches its young people that they should never marry just for sex, and that marriage is about “so much more”.

In heaven, they are neither married nor given in marriage. Marriage exists solely as an outlet for sex (and possibly for producing children). We have exalted marriage. Marriage exists on a pedestal. We have reshaped our society to serve marriage–and in so doing, have reshaped our society to serve the feminine imperative.

We will continue to perish until matrimony, and the feminine, is placed back in its proper place. No ransom will be accepted, even if we give many gifts.

  10. I, regrettably, take pleasure in the idea that those who maketh and loveth a lie will perish.
I take comfort in thinking of the smoke of their torment ascending forever.

  11. Here’s a question, Emp. I believe Satan is using feminism as tool and bait to lure women out from the protection and strength of God’s order, Christ head of the church, man head of woman. And when God commands it, when enough women are vulnerable enough to be easy prey, he will., in some fashion, lower the hammer on those women who can be caught out and the men who followed them there. However, I wonder if a believing or non-believing woman gets any spiritual protection from a non-believing man. I know a believing spouse brings a measure of grace to the household, children and the unbelieving spouse but, if the un-believing husband is merely a strong head of household in the secular sense, what spiritual protection does the wife, believing or not, receive?
Also, some women are seemingly much stronger, spiritually than their husbands. (I’m not talking about the church ladies who fancy themselves stronger than their mates) I know she is to hope to win him over with her good example and submission to him but where does that put her when the reason for God instituting a spiritual head of household comes to pass?

  12. I’ll take a stab Matt. I think that if the wife submits as instructed in 1 Peter 3 that even her unbelieving husband constitutes a covering by the grace of God. God makes up for the lack found in her husband. God is faithful even when we are not.

  13. For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God? Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

    Judgement? Coming
Reason? Sin of rebellion, feminism. Men attacking and despising the authority of God by encouraging their wives to sin against the scriptures.
Fault? Well men and church leaders are not only responsible regardless, some of them have also encouraged this apostasy and degeneration. Even if they hadn’t they will still face judgement.

I reckon some sackcloth and ashes are in order for us men.
